So it’s been a week since I last posted, but I promise it hasn’t been without good reason.
This week I’ve holed myself up at a cabin in Central Oregon to put the finishing touches on my new FREE ebook “Location Rebel Arsenal“.
Some of you may remember the first iteration of Location Rebel from about a year and a half ago. It debuted as a forum for lifestyle design/location independence and actually turned into a pretty good resource really quickly.
However, for various reasons, the endeavor disappeared as quickly as it began, and the site sat there unloved for about a year.
I always liked the domain, so I held onto it, and for a long time I’ve have had bigger plans for it. Well, today is the day those plans get set into motion.
All the time I get asked questions about various tools I use to run my business and travel. So rather than continue answering those questions, I decided to compile a free guide that talks about everything I use to work from anywhere on Earth.
I figured the perfect way to kick off a program about working from anywhere was to give you the tools necessary to do it right up front.
But that’s not all.
I’ve also included a worksheet called “Are you Ready to Be a Location Rebel“. A lot of people talk about trying to achieve more freedom in their work and life, but the reality is not everyone is ready to make the transition. This quick 5 minute worksheet will tell you if it’s right for you.
Along with that, between now and June 14th (the tentative release date of Location Rebel), I’ll be releasing a series of videos on the site about some of the components that go into this lifestyle, as well as a few interviews of some of the rebels featured in the program.
So some of you might be wondering what exactly Location Rebel is going to be all about?
Glad you asked. Essentially I wanted to create a community for people that want to work from anywhere. People that weren’t happy with what they are doing, for whatever reason, and want something more.
To that end Location Rebel will provide 15+ blueprints of how successful location independent entrepreneurs built their business. More importantly, they tell you exactly how you can do the same thing – both in terms of skill building, and marketing the business.
It isn’t hard to build a business you can run from anywhere. You just have to find an industry that you’re interested in and build some skills.
When you have enough motivation, rapid skill building really isn’t that hard. Take my SEO post for example. If you really wanted to learn how to be an SEO freelancer in a weekend, you could do it. Think of these blueprints like that post, on steroids.
There is WAY more to Location Rebel than that, but I just wanted to give you a little more insight into what you can expect. I’ll reveal many more details as we get closer to June.
That said, I’ve been working non stop for 3 days now to get this ready. I’m going to go grab a beer, relax, and enjoy my last evening in the cabin.
If you enjoy Location Rebel Arsenal PLEASE share it on Facebook, Twitter and with whoever else you think could benefit from building their arsenal. Thanks to each of you for all the support, and I’m really looking forward to this new chapter. I have a feeling 2011 is going to be a big year for a lot of people 🙂
