Liz’s Favorites

Our intention with Location Rebel is to be as approachable as possible.

One of the things I really hope is that if you met me in person, I’d come across pretty much the same as I do online. A little sarcastic, a lot of book nerd, all mixed in with a nice Boston accent.

When Sean came up with the idea to share some of our favorite things, I loved it. I thought it would be a great way to get to know us a little bit better, and hey you might find out we have a lot more in common than you might think.

So, here’s my list. Most of these are personal and aren’t business related at all, it’s just for fun.

And, of course, I’m always up for suggestions, so if you have a hotspot to visit, an awesome book I should read, or a new productivity tool you love, share away!

10 Dream Destinations:

Can you tell I’m more of a cold weather gal? While I love to travel and am happy to go (almost) anywhere, these are the places that I’d count on my bucket list as the spots I most want to see in my life. Of course I could hit off a number of these on another dream travel experience, a Baltic Sea River Cruise.

  1. Keflavik, Iceland
  2. Patagonia, Argentina/Chile
  3. Tokyo, Japan
  4. Copenhagen, Denmark
  5. Azores, Portugal

  8. Glacier Bay, Alaska
  9. Maasai Mara, Kenya
  10. Marrakech, Morocco

5 Favorite Things to Watch Right Now:

Yup, I put the Real Housewives on my list [ducks at the rocks and arrows]. One of the things I’ve learned in this lifestyle is you need to be able to find ways to decompress, and nothing gives more more mindless entertainment on tv than the ladies from the Real Housewives.

  1. Game of Thrones
  2. Veep
  3. Mozart in the Jungle
  4. Orange is the New Black
  5. Any and all of the Real Housewives
  6. Bonus: The Red Sox

Another one of my major bucket list items is to visit every major league stadium in America and watch a game. While I still have quite a few to go, and I debated putting Oriole Park at the New Camden Yards on my dream destinations spot (yup, I’m that obsessed), here are my favorites thus far.

  1. Nationals Park
  2. Fenway Park
  3. Safeco Field
  4. Minute Maid Park
  5. Citi Field

5 Sites With Posts I Never Miss Reading:

I am a voracious consumer of information, which is both a good and a bad thing. I can throw out tons of facts and stories on extremely random topics at parties, but I can also spend hours of productive time lost in a rabbit hole on some obscure topic. When I need a fix for some really smart discussions, I head over to these sites.

  1. Brain Pickings
  2. Farnam Street
  3. Mark Manson
  4. Taylor Pearson
  5. 108 Stitches

10 of My Favorite Places I’ve Visited:

  9. Monte Carlo, Monaco
  10. Wadden Sea Islands, Netherlands

5 Productivity Tools I Can’t Live Without:

Productivity is the name of the game when it comes to really finding your groove building your own business. There are tons of tools I use on a regular basis, but these five are the ones I use on a daily basis, and can’t live without.

  1. Pocket
  2. Pomodoro Time
  3. Meister Task
  4. LastPass
  5. Buffer

10 of My Favorite Books

Oof this one gave me a hard time. I absolutely love to read, and I try to cover a number of genres and topics, so narrowing down everything I’ve read down to just ten gave me pause. But, let’s just say this is an incomplete list of some of my favorite books across everything I’ve read (thus far):
